A Key Takeaway from Eckhart Tolle
One of the best takeaways I took away from Eckhart Tolle – about feeling better and living a more fulfilled life – is letting things go.
There are so many things out there that can annoy, stress you out and put you on a bad level. Maybe someone could cut you off or someone could owe you money. And sometimes people like to hang on to these things and carry them around with them.
The problem is: that gets pretty heavy.
Eckhart Tolle has a good analogy where he talks about two ducks in a pond. They start fighting and the first thing the ducks do when they walk away from each other is they flap their wings like crazy. They get it all out of their system.
It’s a lot like yourself, if you’re having a stressful day. If people are working you up and things aren’t going right, you need to flap your wings after. Hit the gym or go for a run – just get it all out. Stop hanging onto things and let it go!
